Big shots drinking MonaVie
So Sumner Redstone's secret elixir for long life is four ounces a day of a little-known superjuice called MonaVie. "It's a miracle drug," he told Fortune. "I feel great." The dark purple antioxidant rich concoction has at its main ingredient the Brazilian açai berry long touted among health nuts for its anti-aging ingredients.
A bottle costs $40 and is not available in stores; it's marketed only like Avon or Tupperware. Fortune says Redstone first heard of the juice from Viacom exec Bill Roedy on a trip to Germany in January then learned that his butler's sister-in-law was a devotee too. (No, I'm not making this up. It's in the magazine.) "Since I've been on MonaVie I haven't taken a sleeping pill," he says. He even considered investing in Utah-based MonaVie after its CEO, nutritional products salesman Dallin Larsen, came to visit him at his Beverly Park mansion. At a recent party, Redstone gave bottles to Bill Clinton and celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. "Just about every friend I have is on it," Redstone says - a group he says includes Viacom and CBS board members as well as Michael Milken. Source: Deadline Hollywood Daily

Behind the scenes of MonaVie
MonaVie is now paying the Amazonian Indigenous People to harvest the berries that grow on top of the palm trees so we can drink this wonderful all natural juice. Being MonaVie Distributors, we are helping to create good paying jobs for these people, housing, clothing and educating the poorest of the poor in Brazil through the MonaVie M.O.R.E Project, and saving the rain forest. Sting should be happy!

J.D. Drew puts energy into juice biz venture
Apparently $15 million just doesn’t go as far as it used to! Because Red Sox [team stats] outfielder - and resident holistic health nut - J.D. Drew [stats] is moonlighting peddling $40 bottles of a fruit-based nutritional substance called Mona Vie.
And Drew is looking for Red Sox Nation recruits to help him sell cases of the fruit drink that purports to give users increased energy, a boost to the immune system and a reduction in joint pain.

"...Since retiring in 2001, Wynalda has been most visible in his former position as an ESPN soccer analyst. But he's also begun coaching youth soccer while continuing to play in adult leagues.
He credits this "comeback" to the fruit drink Monavie, which is based on the South American acai berry.
"My life since I retired was the managing pain from 11 surgeries," said Wynalda. "Ever since I've been drinking that stuff, I haven't taken one Advil."

A Reuters Report on Acai Berry and MonaVie
An article from Reuters:
"...Now the buzz fruit is acai, pronounced "a-sigh-ee". It's the latest trend in an increasingly popular food category: functional foods, defined as those that provide some benefit outside of basic nutrition. A dark purple Brazilian berry promoted as packed with fiber, phytochemicals and essential fatty acids, acai has been called "nature's perfect energy fruit" by well-known nutritionist Dr. Nicholas Perricone.
"The acai berry is one of the most nutritious and powerful foods in the world," said Jeff Graham, managing director of product development for MonaVie, makers of two juice beverages that contain acai berries, along with eighteen other fruits..." Read the full article here.

The More Project
The M.O.R.E. Project is affliated with MonaVie, Inc., seeks to provide impoverished people, especially children, with the tools necessary to pull themselves out of poverty. The M.O.R.E. Project is a non-denominational organization that adheres to a philosophy of love and compassion in an effort to empower those that society has left behind.
The M.O.R.E. Project* doesn't give handouts we give hand-ups.
Providing resources to a single mother so she can better provide for her family, giving structure and support to young men who grew up on the streets so they can be a positive male influence in their household, equipping children with an education that will empower them to chase their dreams these are the ways we are fighting poverty…not by doing things for people, but teaching them to do things for themselves.
*Everyone who contributes to the M.O.R.E. Project should count themselves as a partner and take pride in the outcome of our combined efforts. Please take a moment to share your ideas with us, make a donation, and show our site to a friend; this way we can all do MORE together!

Sumner Redstone and Bill Clinton Both Drink MonaVie
Very interesting report from Fortune Magazine (dated September, 2007) on how the most powerful media mogul Summer Redstone introduced MonaVie to Bill Clinton. Here's a snippet:
"...At a recent party, Redstone gave bottles to Bill Clinton and celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. "Just about every friend I have is on it," Redstone says - a group he says includes Viacom and CBS board members as well as cancer survivor and former junk-bond king Michael Milken. (It can also be found in the clubhouse of the Boston Red Sox; pitcher Jonathan Papelbon is a fan.)
So is it a fad, or is there something to it? Nothing proves that MonaVie cures any ailment, but in one of the first academic studies of açai's benefits, University of Florida researcher Stephen Talcott found that the berry's antioxidants destroyed leukemia cells in a laboratory. But Talcott has since distanced himself from MonaVie and its junkies..." Read the full article here.

MonaVie is TOO EXPENSIVE!
At $40 a bottle, it certainly isn't the same comparing to the regular juice you can buy at your local grocery store. However, please do your search and see how many people have benefited from drinking it.
At $40 a bottle, you are really talking about spending $4 a day to consume 4 ounces of MonaVie, which is going to provide you nutrition which equates to all the fruits and vegetables the USDA recommends you to take on a daily basis.
How many of us spend money on Soda or Starbucks everyday? A few cups of Starbucks will easily put you over $4 a day. So why not invest in something that you know is natural, full of nutrition, fiber and most importantly, with a great taste?

What is the buzz all about?
This simple diagram shows you all the natural ingredients that make up the popular juice MonaVie.
They are: Acai, Acerola, Apricot, Aronia Berry, Banana, Bilberry, Blueberry, Camu Camu, Cranberry, Kiwi Fruit, Lychee, Nashi Pear, Pear, Passion Fruit, Pomegranate, Prunes, Purple Grapes, Wolfberry, White Grapes.
Some of these fruits are certified organic and grown in the wild. Having these 19 different fruits in the MonaVie juice is one of the most attractive thing about MonaVie. It's just impossible for anyone to consume all of these 19 fruits on a regular basis.
